"My two children began attending Riverwood as a 2nd grader and kindergartner.
The lively and imaginative lessons kept them engaged and motivated to learn.
As they continued through their elementary and middle school years,

"My now 13 and 16 year old daughters attended Riverwood Community School
for the first 7 years of their academic careers. My 13 year old attended three years
of Chickadee class and 1st-4th grade at RCS. 
My now 16 year old attended 1st-7th grade at RCS.
We transferred to public school 
with my youngest going into 5th grade and my oldest into 8th grade.
Both of the girls transitioned into the public system very smoothly - they learned to

take tests on the computer (I-pads and Chromebook) and submit work
via Google Classroom within the first month of attending public school. They were 100% at grade level
and have never received a grade lower than an A in any class. They are now going into 8th and 11th grade.
It became completely apparent that while they had learned via a different platform
they were actually above grade level when they took the second round of I-ready tests
less than 6 months into public school and they were flourishing. While we had the benefit of a
small quality public school district to move into, I attribute their success to the foundation instilled
in them from the Waldorf-inspired Curriculum and their love of learning due to the platform for learning 
to learn that is followed by RCS. I am very happy we had the opportunity to
start the girls out in such a great learning environment. From my experience with two very different children
and an experience with a child outside our home as well, I feel all children would benefit
from starting with a Waldorf inspired program, such as RCS, and successfully transitioning
to any other academic setting!"

went incredibly well, and that shows me that the Riverwood curriculum is really
